We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Credit Risk Analyst where you will be part of the Risk team based in Milton Keynes.

Making banking easier for all of our customers

The team support the portfolio modelling & forecasting at both locations of Milton Keynes and Ludgate Hill. The team maintain the modelling forecasting tools across the various retail products within the banks this includes, credit cards, Loans, mortgages etc.

The day to day activity will involve supporting senior management with regards to regulatory models and remediation model monitoring and analysis. The right candidate will need to engage with wider function across the business this includes the finance team.

As a Credit Risk Analyst your main responsibilities will be

  • Developing models to a high quality meeting the requirements of stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Maintaining high quality, accurate documentation according to local standards throughout developments, and through to IVT and audit review
  • Developing and support the team in developing new methodologies, approaches and ways of thinking
  • Using expert judgement and fresh thinking to analyse and predict the outcome of unprecedented business strategies
  • Conducting detailed statistical data analysis using appropriate analysis software (e.g. SAS) at an expert level
  • Ensuring that all analysis is completed with a high degree of accuracy and that all assumptions are clearly stated

Minimum skills and experience required:

  • Very high degree of mathematical literacy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as attention to details
  • Able to take a pragmatic attitude when dealing with uncertainty
  • Developing awareness of credit industry products and markets
  • Resilient to setbacks, with the tenacity and drive required to solve complex challenging problems
  • Developing expert programming skills in relevant statistical analysis tools (e.g. SAS) is desirable
