Your role
Reporting into the Head of Statutory and Balance Sheet Reporting, you will play a leading role in delivery of all Statutory Reporting for the Deloitte LLP group of companies.

  • Leading on the preparation and reconciliations required to produce Statutory Financial Statements and all notes to the accounts, for the Group, LLP and subsidiaries
  • Lead the Providing a technical review of the statutory financial statements ensuring they are in-line with IFRS/UK GAAP accounting standards and the firms accounting policies
  • Working closely with our external auditors and resolving issues
  • Compiling completion accounts for acquisitions and managing the audit process for these types of accounts
  • Perform high level review of quarterly pension accounts and give final approval, submit accounts to the Secretary of the Trustees, and address queries arising
  • Review the quarterly FCA return, submit to the Compliance Officer and the QRM team, and address queries
  • Monitoring incoming changes to IFRS accounting standards and, working with NSE (North South Europe) Finance team, ensuring changes are managed and implemented smoothly
  • Advising Financial Controls Director on updates required to policy, procedures and controls in order to be compliant with IFRS accounting standards
  • Delivering technical training to finance colleagues and providing advice on IFRS standards to the wider Business where required
  • Managing a diverse team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Location:
Your home office will be Milton Keynes. Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Work pattern:
This is a permanent opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

Your professional experience

  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experienced in delivery of statutory and group reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships all levels of staff and partners with ability to influence where required
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to drive change and experience of leading initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Energy and motivation; an enthusiastic and dedicated team leader
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative, drive delivery through the team and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience of working in a professional services organisation is preferred but not essential.
