This is a fantastic opportunity to join DWP's Service Operations Design and Transition team. We are embarking on a journey - The remit of the team is evolving and we are looking for talented individuals who can help shape the future operating model and bring together large amounts of data to produce clear and robust service designs.
We need a talented Senior IT Service Design Manager to work closely with teams in design, architecture and various Service Operations.
Someone who will ensure that our services meet business and service needs. This is paramount, as you will be laying the foundations for live service.
Facilitating the use of IT Service Design and Transition processes for Digital, you will be working between different programmes and functions with varied demands and service levels.
Participation and the sharing of ideas is going to be key for you to enable advanced planning in building strategies to standardise & automate. We want you to encourage shift left activities.

You'll join our team based at our digital hub in Newcastle.
In return for your skills, we offer salary up to £59,589 per annum.
We have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly, on a hybrid model, with home working about 60% of the time.
You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 27.9%. For a starting salary of £59,000, for example, that would mean DWP put over £16,000 in your pension pot each year.
