DWP. Digital with Purpose.
DWP is the UK's largest government department. We deliver products, service, support and payments to people at key times in their lives.
We're using technology to transform the way these products and services are delivered to more than 20 million users. We're making our services more efficient, and reliable, and easier for everyone to access.
We're also equipping around 90,000 DWP colleagues with the tech and tools they need to better support our users and spend more time doing the work they love and which gives real value (and less time doing the stuff that tech solutions can do for them).
Duties. Work. Projects.
You'll work initially our Citizen Information team. Our work is core to how we share and re-use citizen information to drive and support DWP's ongoing transformation.
We are the custodians of data across more than 100m citizen records, and are responsible for critical services that deliver 24/7 for DWP and Other Government Departments.
We already share information with several Other Government Departments and we are about to embark on a range of exciting new initiatives to maximise the re-use of data within DWP and across the public sector, driving efficiencies and improving citizen journeys. We are looking for passionate and innovative people to join our team and help to shape our vision and deliver real value to the public sector.
As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for the testing of applications for the CI team. This includes defining the appropriate depth and breadth of testing using a risk based approach, and ensuring the stability, robustness and reliability of test suites. You will work with other teams within the Software Development Lifecycle to ensure that technical solutions are aligned, delivering and developing as part of a supportive Test community.
