BSM Group are searching for a Fraud Risk AVP
The Role:

  • Setting the controls for ‘Application fraud’ for the firm and its subsidiaries, and regularly assessing changing risks
  • Monitoring daily fraud attacks, and assessing where current strategies are performing, and making changes where appropriate.
  • Managing and developing a team of SME’s (portfolio managers) who have specific areas of responsibility (at product level) and prioritizing their workload aligned to departmental requirements
  • Managing incidents and specific issues related to fraud (Application Fraud)
  • Ensuring, creating and developing requirements to solve fraud problems, while allow the business to also maintain lean and efficient processes and excellent customer experience
  • Using data driven strategies to combat fraud, deploying and recommending new solutions to enable Fraud Detection rules/strategies be implemented/amended ensuring we minimize loss and maximize revenue

The Person:

  • Experience of risk management, and the legal and regulatory frameworks that the firm operates within from a Fraud / Financial Crime perspective demonstrate and understanding of industry wide tools used to manage fraud detection/data sharing/risk profiling
  • Demonstrate capability and flexibility within a wide range of work, in terms of scale, scope and technical content
  • Lead, motivate and develop team members so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain/ exchange information, identify best practices and improve controls
  • Undertake assignments and manage projects, researching opportunities, defining, developing and implementing procedures relating to specialist/operational policies/ products/ services and where appropriate, wider business strategies
