Midlands based FinTech seek a Compliance Manager the successful candidate will ensure that firm are compliant from a legal and regulatory, perspective. Implement compliance processes and processes and be accountable for internal controls. Ideally somebody with a legal background, strong compliance and exposure to UK energy compliance regime. We are looking for an experienced Legal Regulation, Risk and Compliance Manager to join the Compliance, Operational Risk and Audit function. Advantageous would be someone with experience in regulatory matters as it relates to UK Energy (Gas and Electricity) sector

Implement compliance processes and processes and be accountable for internal controls. Ideally somebody with a legal background, strong compliance and exposure to UK energy compliance regime. We are looking for an experienced Legal Regulation, Risk and Compliance Manager to join the Compliance, Operational Risk and Audit function. Advantageous would be someone with experience in regulatory matters as it relates to UK Energy (Gas and Electricity) sector arising from working in a regulatory body, in a regulation role in a larger company or in a consultancy advising on regulation - especially as it relates to the company's license obligations. Experience in preparing regulatory submissions and regulatory responses. Experience of promoting company points-of-view in face-to-face interactions with key regulatory stakeholders (from working groups to 1:1 meetings). Experience in designing, implementing and managing robust, practical compliance processes for a company in a regulated industry. Existing network of relationships with key external stakeholders (e.g. Ofgem, - E-Serve, Ombudsman). The right candidate will be responsible for leading the evaluation of operational processes across the firm. The Compliance Manager will provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services to add value and improve the firm’s operations. Leading, guiding and managing a Compliance Analyst. This represents a highly compelling opportunity for an established Compliance Manager with a passion for and a genuine desire to make a difference in the world of Energy /Utilities sector. Managing the implementation of firm-wide Compliance, Risk and operational processes, including but not limited to GDPR, auditing investment deals, Legal and HR. Attending meetings with the regulators Ofgem etc, to ensure the firm are compliant and up to date with their processes. Selecting, analysing and presenting information to enable effective decision making and effectively communicating results.
