Provide Project Management and Business Analysis support to implementation of Global Payroll Strategy across Barclays following 2017 Global Payroll Review.

Overall purpose of role

Provide Project Management and Business Analysis support to implementation of Global Payroll Strategy across Barclays following 2017 Global Payroll Review. Working with the Global payroll leads, the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the Global Payroll Strategy in conjunction with HR Operations Business Manager and Working Group Lead (UK Head of Payroll). The Project Manager will manage the delivery of the project from end-to-end, covering the full delivery lifecycle and all stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish a full project plan to deliver phased implementation of the recommendations from the Global Payroll Review that took place in 2017, including; project governance, reporting, risk management and stakeholder engagement
  • Engage with Global Payroll Leads to gather detailed requirements and information through workshops and user interviews, documenting requirements and processes to support implementation planning
  • Develop detailed gap analysis and transition plan from 'As Is' to future state for each of the key recommendations
  • Provide input, where possible, into the development of processes and procedures to help drive consistency of practice and approach
  • Co-ordinate with HR Chief Controls Officer Team to ensure paralleled development of consistent controls environment, standards, and approach to risk management for global payroll teams
  • Work in collaboration, and co-ordinate deliverables with wider global projects as appropriate, for example global HR process mapping project

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • Ensures that all key stakeholders are identified and engaged; development of stakeholder map and communications plan
  • Communication to key stakeholders/groups to keep them informed of key changes and potential impact of the project outcome through published status reports
  • Adapts to changing requirements, re-prioritising and changing course as necessary, supporting the working group in making any necessary changes
  • Ensures the team's decisions are made with consideration of the short and long-term impact on key stakeholders
  • The role holder must also know when it is the appropriate time to challenge and escalate

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Project/Programme Management and Business Analyst experience across global organisations
  • Planning, developing and delivering internal communications programmes and strategies to meet defined objectives
  • Strong analytical and commercial thinking
  • Proven and demonstrable success at driving process and procedural change initiatives- from conception to implementation.
  • Evidence of sound understanding risk / control environment
  • Managing and building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and contributors, strong presentation skills
  • Proven and demonstrable success at driving process and procedural change initiatives- from conception to implementation.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Global Payroll experience
