An exciting opportunity has arisen with a Top 10 accounting firm, who are seeking a corporate tax advisor to join their successful team in Reading. Being based in Reading will enable both a great work life balance with no 'London commute', along with extremely high quality advisory work that would be expected of a London team.

Working with a portfolio of both multinational and large OMB corporate clients, the successful applicant will ideally be ACA/CTA qualified and have experience of advisory projects.

A variety of advisory projects and technical projects will be on offer in this opportunity, along with the ability to have an active role in business development, proposals, networking and contributing to the overall strategy and success of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the client providing excellent client service at all times
  • Ensuring that the clients' tax affairs are compliant
  • Be able to resolve queries regarding tax accounting and potential disclosures for statutory accounts purposes
  • Within your business development capacity, identify and advise on tax planning opportunities
  • Managing clients and WIP in accordance with the firm's standard procedures, and bill clients on a timely basis
  • Actively network with teams across other departments to ensure cross line of service offerings are identified and fulfilled
  • Develop junior staff members - both in their work and ongoing training
  • Be involved in giving feedback and perform appraisals as and when required
  • Be active in business development, client seminars, proposals and formal presentations

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Excellent client service, communication and tax technical skills
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Proven managerial skills
  • ACA / CTA (or equivalent) qualified

Both part time (25 hours +) and full time applicants are welcome.
