Support Bill to Cash back office functions including Accounts Receivable, Credit Risk, Suspension, Reconnection and Termination of customers, Debt Recovery and Reporting.

What you’ll be doing...

The role requires expertise of Bill to Cash functions across Accounts Receivable, Credit Risk, Suspension & Terminations, Debt Recovery and Reporting in a telecommunications market segment.

The Bill to Cash Back Office Specialist will be aware of operational best practice and identify opportunities to recommend improvements to operating policies and optimise work procedures through digitalization capabilities. It is also key to ensure accuracy and explicitness of instructions, and to fix the root cause of potential Bill to Cash issues.

They will be a named contact for specified Verizon key internal & external stakeholders, providing updates, reporting and attending stakeholder meetings including auditors (internal and external) as required. They will undertake and review credit risk assessments of prospective and existing customers, including interviews at director level, to determine an appropriate credit facility.

This will include reviews with internal legal counsel on litigation cases and co-ordination & review of debt collection agency activities. They will also act as a point of escalation for any issues arising from process anomalies.

They will be responsible for contributing to any systems development to ensure relevant business requirements are properly identified and support all relevant UAT activity.

They will have strong team building skills across all regions globally and all levels including team leaders and higher management throughout the business as well as the extended offshore team, with regular, relevant communication.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Bill to Cash back office functions including Accounts Receivable, Credit Risk, Suspension, Reconnection and Termination of customers, Debt Recovery and Reporting.
  • Act as contact point of contact with Third Parties to ascertain any specific changes in risk profile of the existing and prospective customer base. Monitor and understand developments in the risk rating of companies & country profiles to mitigate risk and make recommendations in regard to bad debt provision.
  • Monitor and develop the operational dashboard to ensure extended Offshore teams are performing within SLA and key issues are being addressed.
  • Perform Bill to Cash back office transactional activities as & when required or when activities are referred based on Delegation of Authority.
  • Review Policies, Processes and Procedures and ensure these are up to date and being followed by the extended Offshore teams and complete formal Quarterly and Annual reviews.
  • Review and analyse audits under the Quality Framework process including error logs and recommend improvements as appropriate.
  • Drive and deliver automation & alignment of process and procedures across Bill to Cash back office to reduce volume of manual processes.
  • Engage with external stakeholders and professional organisations to identify operational best practices.
  • Support and co-ordinate all systems development projects to ensure that relevant business requirements are clearly identified and contribute to all related UAT activities.
  • Manage development of new reports as well as enhancement to existing reports by working closely with Business Intillegence Team (SAS) and the Bill to Cash function for collation of BRDs, UAT and approving reports for Production.
  • Support Internal and External audit requests as and when appropriate.
  • Conduct annual audit of appointed external Debt Collection Agency.
  • Co-ordinate communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Direct involvement and support for Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Ensure any single points of failure are eliminated by coaching an appointed back up for your role and ensuring process documentation is published.
  • Point of escalation for Bill to Cash back office functions.
  • Attend all key meetings.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a related discipline.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience in delivering process improvement and managing change.

Even better to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Financial expertise to undertake detailed credit reviews and analysis of company accounts.
  • Excellent analytical and validation skills.
  • Be well organised with good time management skills.
  • Major European language preferred.
