A leading Asset Management firm with an excellent reputation and strong UK presence requires a junior operational risk analyst to join their highly regarded risk team. This excellent opportunity will suit you if you have a strong risk management focus in your academics and serious ambitions of developing a career in Operational Risk; as well as professionals with relevant, limited experience who are keen to move into a major company to further their Operational Risk responsibilities in a first class environment.

Main responsibilities include

  • Taking ownership for the whole risk incident management process
  • Managing the risk incident system and developing  / improving risk processes to help ensure it always meets or exceeds business requirements
  • Managing the quality and integrity of data within operational risk reporting process
  • Managing and delivering risk incident reports across all business areas
  • Support the business in documenting risk incidents, investigating work and escalating relevant findings to senior management
  • Assisting the business in implementing improved risk control measures
  • Provide administration support to Operational Risk

Competencies Required

  • Ideally you will have a degree or Masters degree in risk management or an equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal stake-holders
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts and their application in a financial services environment
  • Ability to use initiative and deal with stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to present detailed analysis in clear and concise reports
  • High degree of numeracy and strong Excel skills.
