The Role:

 

As an Audit Manager, you will act as the key client contact for some of the firms largest clients, responding quickly to, as well as anticipating client requests and needs.

 

In addition the successful candidate will:

 

  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels
  • Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales and identify opportunities for strong commercial management
  • Ensure assignments are staffed with the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required
  • Ensure that the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Identify and recognise business and growth opportunities with new clients
  • Business development activities such as building relationships with target clients or involvement in pitch situations
  • Support Partners in the development of new business relationships and business proposals through high level sales and marketing activity
  • Reporting directly to the Assurance Partner and Director and having a number of direct team members report to you
  • Recruit, supervise, coach, develop and motivate employees
  • Work as part of management team with other Audit Managers within the business group (e.g. resource planning, performance appraisals and efficiency gains)
  • Act as an ambassador of the firm and as a role model for trainees and executives

 

Requirements:

 

  • ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or equivalent
  • Previous experience of managing people
  • Good working knowledge of International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements
  • Working knowledge of financial products, the firm’s services, issues regarding advice, regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering
  • Experience of systems and controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures
  • Project Management experience
  • Have flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels

 

 

Desirable:

 

  • Experience with listed clients
  • Experience of UK reporting requirements
  • Experience auditing international groups
