We're looking for a talented IT Support Manager to join our growing community of experts. You'll manage a team of IT Support Technicians helping end service users and colleagues with their technical IT issues, and help us deliver one of the biggest and most high-profile digital transformation programs in the world.

You and your role
In this role you will manage a team within a geographic area providing front line support to DWP staff. You will manage the team and their day to day duties while having overall responsibility for staff development.
We are often seen as the first point of contact for our people and first impressions count. Using your people and communication skills to simplify technical subjects to a non-technical audience is key to success. You will build and manage a team of IT technicians with the skills and ability to also communicate these messages and educate our end users.
You keep us online and able to do our jobs. It's a valuable and valued job here in DWP Digital. We'll ensure lots of variety in your work and give you the tools and training you need to take on interesting stuff you may not have done before like incident management and dealing with a multi-supplier landscape.
We're on a transformation journey so we have users at all levels of capability. You'll need to be able to understand and support your team to understand a user's problem from their description, and you'll need to able to explain the fix to them in language they understand.
This role is evolving all the time. As we roll out new solutions across our teams you'll have great opportunities to develop and become an expert with different tech, tooling and systems.
There is a defined career path within End User Computing, whether that be Regional Manager, Senior EUC Manager or Service Transition Manager, the list is endless, and we'll support you all the way.
