You and your role

As an Informatica ETL Developer, you will be responsible for developing accurate, efficient data solutions which meet customer needs to agreed timescales. You will ensure the stability, robustness and resilience of the products you design and build, and be in a position to affect changes to those products where necessary. You will maintain and support continuous improvement of data engineering standards and engage with stakeholders at all stages of the data engineering lifecycle, from pre- feasibility/discovery through to delivery. As an Informatica ETL Developer you will provide leadership to develop junior data engineers and provide technical guidance alongside other data engineering functions for customers.

Essential skills

  • Expert level experience in the development of complex data routines and patterns
  • Interpret Erwin data models to create mappings and work flow using Informatica power centre, applying Kimball methodology where appropriate
  • Strong SQL coding skills, Oracle database, PL/SQL
  • Ability to performance tune Informatica workflows
  • Incorporate agreed error handling protocols
  • Create and use test data within unit test scenarios

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of shell scripting
  • Knowledge of database architecture, relational database diagrams, data warehousing principles and integrity constraints
  • Experience of using tools such as Informatica BDM, Talend, Spark and Hadoop
