Department Description

The Workplace Investing Proposition team is responsible for the development of the overall service and product proposition for corporate benefit clients and their employees/members.

Purpose of your Role

Contributing to the Strategic Development of the Workplace Investing Business, working with key stakeholders in to help establish the strategic direction for propositions based on detailed client, market and competitor insights. Acting as the customer voice into service design and digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Development of and meeting Client needs

  • Based on detailed client insight ensure clients short-term and long-term goals are met with specific solutions to help meet these goals.
  • Effectively engages with and partners with the Product Groups to ensure that the development and delivery of products for Workplace Investing clients meet/exceed client expectations.

Client Experience

  • Will play a key part in development and ownership of a world class client experience; as part of this the team will be the custodian for the end to end client experience including defining and managing client segments.
  • Responsible for using insight to define the value proposition
  • Engaging with other client facing teams to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of our client offering
  • Helping front consultant and client meetings around our client proposition

Commercial Accountabilities

  • Working closely with the Head of WI propositions in establish a competitive commercial framework for the Workplace Investing business working
  • Ensure abreast of competitor development and market trends.
  • Help create and co-own the go to market approach including market positioning.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience within the following areas; workplace pension product management, proposition, consulting or change management preferably with some experience in Customer Experience and Service Design
  • A detailed understanding of one or more of the following; workplace pensions (occupational and personal), retirement products
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the medium to long term savings market in terms of customer needs, distribution and providers
  • Ability to gather, synthesis, understand and communicate customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into service design artefacts
  • Experience of translating customer journeys into digital experiences
  • An understanding of the commercial drivers for pensions business
  • Highly developed strategic and commercial mind-set, forward thinking, innovative.
  • Highly credible in leading and conducting client experience and contact.
  • Outstanding influencing skills and comfortable operating at the most senior level in the organisation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
