Principal Infrastructure Engineer
Summary:
Contribute to the development and improvement of the CI/CD framework. Drive orchestration of common infrastructure tasks across technology stacks. Maintain public and private cloud-based infrastructure, and influence the cloud-based architecture and standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop and document the individual tasks required to complete project delivery
• Manage and resolve backlogged project and support tasks
• Complete documentation for the support and maintenance of cloud infrastructure tools and services
• Drive the adoption of automation platforms and the orchestration of tasks across technology stacks
• Support the continuous deployment model of private or public cloud-based applications
Qualifications · Demonstrated understanding of AWS and the collection of services.
· At least 3 years' experience or equivalent knowledge managing Windows and Linux systems
· Familiarity with containerization and database technologies
· Ability to generate complex Bash and PowerShell scripts
· Fluent in at least one programming language
· Expertise in networking concepts (layers 2-5)
· Familiarity with at least one configuration management tool, such as Ansible or Chef
· Familiarity with Jenkins or similar code deployment tool
· Ability to develop automation within the virtualization platform, and contribute to the orchestration of complex tasks
· Well-practiced troubleshooting methodology
· Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently
· Ability to communicate design, installation, and support of a solution through documentation
· Strong verbal communication across audiences (such as fellow engineers, end users, and management)
· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
· Ability to attain new technical skills and share knowledge with teammates
