Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Business Analyst to join the Worldwide Product Marketing (WWPM) Finance & Business Management team. Role involves licensing agreement analytics, reporting, forecasting and modeling. We are looking for someone with strong analytical capabilities, superior financial / quantitative horsepower, and a deep interest in Apple’s products, business and strategy. This position partners with various groups including product marketing, operations and legal, manages extremely confidential information, and carries a very high level of responsibility and exposure.
•Minimum 3-7 years of relevant work experience
•Strong business acumen, high intellectual curiosity, with deep interest in Apple’s products, technology, business and strategy
•Ease with quantitative and financial analysis in a product context; able to work comfortably with incomplete information and dealing with ambiguity
•Understanding of latest technology and user trends that can impact Apple users’ experience and impact to Apple’s marketing strategy
•Highly motivated, works well under pressure, organized, and proactive in leading projects from end-to-end
•Experience in Financial Statement analysis with a deep understanding of the process of constructing a financial statement.
•Outstanding verbal and written business communication skills
•Sharp attention to detail yet understand the big picture
•Strong team player
•Experience in the digital advertising industry and on-line search business is a plus
•Superior Excel modeling skills; experience with Tableau, R, Alteryx, SQL, Business Objects a plus
This is an exciting opportunity that entails the following responsibilities:
Take financial ownership of the execution of all licensing agreements on behalf of Product Marketing; ensure licensees are in compliance with financial terms and conditions of the agreement
Generate insightful reports and analysis of (i) licensing revenue results, (ii) Digital Advertising trends, and (iii) major developments (e.g., earnings, 10-Qs, research reports) stemming from the main players in the Digital Advertising industry
Forecast various licensing revenue streams for Apple, analyze variances, and research business drivers
Partner with various teams (e.g., Product Marketing, Legal, Operations, Engineering, and other Finance and Accounting teams) to build revenue models for prospective licensing arrangements and optimize current ones
Drive development and implementation of new tools and systems to improve licensing revenue processes
Be an active participant in the WWPM Finance and Business Management team, and handle special projects and requests
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or other quantitative field
