What are the main goals of the team and how can you contribute to its' success?

The Investment Accounting team is responsible for the Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for mutual fund products including meeting accuracy and daily timeline targets. As a Supervisor, Investment Accounting, you thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment. You also enjoy coaching and mentoring teams, and supporting staff development and performance.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Supervisor, Investment Accounting?

  • Directs and conducts one or more of a variety of investment accounting functions such as calculating NAVs, cash and security reconciliations, recording and reviewing transactions and client reporting.
  • Provide guidance and direction to a team of Investment Accounting Analysts and Senior Analysts.
  • Supervises daily workflows and accountable for delivery of work assigned to agreed service levels.
  • Identify opportunities for process and/or product improvement, and make recommendations to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • As the Subject Matter Expert, represent the department in cross-department projects, identifying issues and solutions. May lead departmental-level projects.
  • Provide input to department's strategy.

What ideal qualifications would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related work experience within the financial services industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in Investment Management and Operations.
  • 2+ years of management experience either directly managing employees or acting as a senior team member and resource leader in a team management setting.
  • Strong leadership skills including resource and time management, decisions making, communication, building relationships and developing others.
  • Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions.
