Business Risk Manager, Liquidity
The Liquidity Risk Management team strives to be our clients' trusted liquidity management partner by designing innovative solutions that meet our clients' evolving needs. We operate in a fast-paced environment, supporting Silicon Valley Bank deposit and liquidity management solutions and an institutional SEC-registered investment advisor investing in separately managed accounts.



This role is responsible for first line risk management with a focus on incident response and business continuity planning. Success will be achieved by building and encouraging a culture of responsibility for proper risk management practices in the Liquidity Risk Management team.



The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating, managing, tracking and reporting on all types of incidents, including operational and technology incidents. In this role, the candidate will be the primary manager for all incidents for the Liquidity Management team including minor systems issues to major incidents, including providing executive level summaries, updates to impacted parities, management action plan tracking and reporting and root cause analysis. This position will partner with the Business Risk Officer, Liquidity Management Leadership team, second line of defense partners (Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Business Continuity, etc.) and key risk partners (IT Risk, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, etc.) to ensure aligned responses to incidents.



Additional responsibilities include maintaining the Liquidity Management team's business continuity plan, coordinating participation in enterprise business continuity tests and development, and management of business line procedures for incident management and business continuity.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree desirable)
  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant incident or risk management experience.
  • Experience supporting, managing and exercising business continuity plans, as well as resolving any business continuity gaps required.
  • Experience in incident response or managing active business continuity events within a financial institution.
  • Working knowledge of risk management frameworks, financial services technology and bank-capital related disciplines.
  • Dedicated team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, negotiate, influence and build consensus across the organization at all levels.
