Under the supervision of the Principal HRBP, the primary objective of this role is to partner with CoStar Group managers and other HR stakeholders to maximize their effectiveness in leading highly successful and engaged teams. In addition, the Junior HRBP will support and advise client groups on the implementation and execution of HR initiatives and processes, as aligned with the talent needs of the business.


  • Support and execute full life-cycle employee and HR processes including; bonus program(s), promotions, performance review processes, year-end compensation, engagement survey roll-out, manager excellence, employee relations, and other recurring people processes.
  • Partner with HR centers of excellence to ensure execution of all human resource operations within assigned client groups and serve as a central point of contact for client groups HR needs.
  • Analyze data and effectively organize and present findings to drive data-backed HR strategy. Draw analysis-based conclusions and collaborate on innovative solutions.
  • Meet with managers and employees regarding performance issues. Counsel Managers regarding appropriate corrective actions and documentation to ensure internal processes and policies are followed.
  • Provide a consultative, proactive approach to employees and managers on employee relations matters. Conduct investigations and respond to unemployment claims, as needed.
  • Support the development, recommendation, and implementation of policies, procedures and process improvements.
  • Coach managers to aid in their effectiveness and foster highly functioning and engaged teams.
  • Help process transactions via HRIS including promotions, transfers, job and compensation changes and terminations.
  • Ensure HR Business Partner support is highly effective and scalable to meet critical business goals

Qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelors degree and 3+ years HR experience required, Generalist/HRBP experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Self-directed and able to balance multiple time-sensitive deliverables and effectively prioritize, organize and manage time.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with strong attention to detail and excellent follow through
  • Commitment to excellence and high level of integrity; ability to exercise strict confidentiality and sound judgement
  • Strong client-service focus and ability to build and manage relationships across different levels and functions
  • Experience working with employees and managers on employee relations matters
  • Excellent data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in excel and Office suite required
  • Understanding of California employment laws
  • Experience in California Leave Administration
