The Senior Investment Strategist in the Defined Contribution (DC) team at Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) will work to increase the adoption of the firm's investment strategies across plan sponsors, recordkeeping platforms and investment consultants to grow the DC business.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the adoption of the firm's DC investment strategies with clients, consultants and prospects
  • Coordinate across investment and product teams for a superior DC offering and client experience
  • Serve as an expert on the firm's DC strategies and plan design architecture, and keep internal and external business partners and clients updated on general industry trends
  • Contribute to and lead custom projects and analyses for clients and prospects in areas such as optimal plan design, custom target date funds and white label funds
  • Help create infrastructure of WFAM DC business to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness with peers, clients, consultants and prospects
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of investment management experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or demonstrated progress toward the designation

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 10 years of institutional investment experience
  • Experience in DC and retirement markets; experience in the insurance/annuity business a plus
  • Excellent investment knowledge and analytical skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect and engage an audience, explaining complex concepts in simple fashion
  • Team player with experience in building strong relationships
  • Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel roughly 50% of the time
