Compliance Program Manager

Program Management and Execution

  • Analyze, recommend and implement key processes to allow for effective compliance oversight

  • Identify opportunities to enhance, refine and mature programs
  • Drive the collaboration and coordination with various key stakeholders within, e.g., the Compliance department, 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line functions

  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and understanding to 1st line and/or 2nd line for the adherence to Oversight & Program policy requirements and expectations

  • Develop and facilitate program trainings, including the creation and/or update of training materials    

Program Reporting:

  • Ongoing analysis of data to develop in-depth understanding of programs

  • Identify data gaps and/or requirements needed to support effective program reporting

  • Recommend and establish the appropriate monthly and quarterly reporting to meet policy and/or management expectations

  • Plan and execute the established reporting process, providing the appropriate commentary and insights

  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of reporting

Program Policy/Procedure Development and Maintenance
  • Develop and/or update related policies/procedures documentation and process flows associated with various oversight programs

  • Advise, review and signoff of the 1st line / 2nd line organizations in the creation of procedures, meeting Oversight & Programs policy requirements and expectations

  • Familiarity and/or understanding of risk/compliance, process and controls, regulatory change, privacy, reporting, governance and operating models

  • Familiarity and/or understanding of the three lines of defense in risk management

  • Familiarity with banking industry regulatory environment

  • Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and/or situations

  • Ability to navigate challenging and/or unstructured environments

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and/or take on new and/or evolving responsibilities

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of banking, finance, compliance or risk management experience

  • Bachelors Degree is required, advanced degrees and/or compliance or risk management related certifications preferred

  • Extensive experience with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and Visio is required
