We'll be looking for you to be part of the Western Union platform organization designing, building, enhancing and supporting the enterprise class systems that power Western Union. This role works across the IT organization and with business partners to define and build out complex solutions and drive value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities. You will play a critical role in designing and developing data systems that are the engine behind Western Union. You will be responsible for developing and delivering long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders. You will be mentoring and responsible for leading the on-shore and off-shore team members
For this role you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field as well as have 10+ Years of software development experience, 3-5 years of data design experience and 3-5 years in a strategic leadership role. You will have extensive knowledge of data architecture design skills in a cloud environment. You will have expertise in data architecture, strategy and road map planning for a large and complex global organization. You will have hands-on experience with ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Pentaho) as well as hands-on experience with BI tools and reporting software (e.g. OBIEE). You'll have experience with high-scale or distributed RDBMS (Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, Aster Data, Vertica).
