Our Treasury Division (TRS) of the Finance and Administration Department (FNA) of IDB Invest supports FNA in planning, mobilization and administration of the IDB Invest's financial resources.

IDB Invest is looking for a Libor Transition Program Consultant with at least 15 years of experience in capital markets products, processes, and technology.  The Program Consultant will coordinate the bank’s LIBOR transition program and organize with teams in technology, finance, risk, legal, portfolio management, origination and third-party vendors.

 
What you’ll do:

Work with senior leadership teams to drive the LIBOR transition strategy for IDB Invest.Lead the project management office with key responsibilities in report management, governance, analysis, working group meetings, presentations in the consolidation of progress, and provide operational risk metrics on the program.

Assess the impact across the multiple products (i.e. Bank loans, Debt, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Swaps, and investment portfolios) across transaction systems, financial models, interfaces, contract terms, and accounting policies.

Coordinate with the Libor transition program leadership members to quantify the financial impact and liquidity impact in the transitioning of Libor to an alternative reference rate (i.e. SOFR, ESTER) for all products on the firm’s balance sheet.
Coordinate, inform, and develop an execution strategy with our 3rd party vendor solutions on their conversion plans.  Lead an impact study with our 3rd party vendors on our current state and formulate a strategic roadmap on a conversion plan.
Participate and be informed with regulators, industry experts, and ARRC committee.


 

Skills you´ll need:

Education: A minimum of a master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Engineering or Business Administration.

Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in modeling financial products cross asset classes, including risk, finance and accounting.

Strong analytical skillsets in asset classes with an understanding of impact in systems when corporate actions (including terminations, cancellations) occur throughout the system.

Cross-functional Project Management experience (Management consultancy in a tier one organization, a plus)
Knowledge of third-party vendor solutions on assessment of products throughout the system.
Strong relations with third party providers in understanding system implementations from a business functional perspective including data integration with upstream / downstream connectivity.
Ability to communicate effectively with personal and presentation skills.
Driven implementations and impact analysis across asset classes, business units, and technology platforms to understand the impact.

Languages: You are proficient in written and verbal communication in English and in a second official language of the IDB Group (Spanish, Portuguese or French).

Payment and Conditions: Compensation will be determined in accordance with IDB Invest’s policies and procedures. The IDB Invest, pursuant to applicable policies, may contribute toward travel and moving expenses.

 
Visa and Work Permit: The IDB Invest, pursuant to applicable policies, may submit a visa request to the applicable immigration authorities; however, the granting of the visa is at the discretion of the immigration authorities. Notwithstanding, it is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain the necessary visa or work permits required by the authorities of the country(ies) in which the services will be rendered to the IDB Invest. If a candidate cannot obtain a visa or work permit to render services to the IDB Invest the contractual offer will be rescinded

 
Consanguinity: Pursuant to applicable IDB Invest policy, candidates with relatives (including the fourth degree of consanguinity and the second degree of affinity, including spouse) working for the IDB, IDB Invest, or MIF as staff members, Complementary Workforce contractuals or contractors, will not be eligible to provide services for the IDB Invest.
