Investment Management Firm based in Washington, DC is looking for a senior software engineer with AWS Cloud technologies experience to lead a team of developers that will be building investment management reporting systems and platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of developers on a full software lifecycle development project using Cloud technologies
  • Have full technical responsibility from requirements gathering to software implementation and delivery
  • Work closely with stakeholders: Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Research, Traders
  • Mentor and lead a team of developers

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of full software development experience including design, coding, testing and support
  • At least 3+ years of Cloud infrastructure experience working with one or more of the following AWS Cloud services: (EC2,ECS,ALB, Lambda, Fargate)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS architecture design
  • Ability to model complex datasets using either SQL or NoSQL applications
  • Must have Python programming skills and at least one of the following (Java, C++, C#)
  • Reporting frameworks (SSRS, Microstrategy)
  • Demonstrated skill at using micro services and containerization applications such as Docker
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GIT
  • Proven technology leadership skills and responsibilities
  • Strong, proven analysis and analytical skills
  • Strong planning and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to recruit, mentor, build and motivate a technology team that will have a major impact on the business
  • Finance Knowledge and Experience a plus
