About Marketing BCUS Marketing is responsible for acquiring new customers, managing existing customer relationships, developing digital strategies and experiences, designing new products, running loyalty programs, designing creative, managing the Barclaycard brand in the US, and conducting customer search. Marketing supports the Card business, the Deposits business, and our soon to launch Consumer Lending business.

Overall purpose of role

The Digital Content Producer will manage the development and population of website content and digital assets within an enterprise wide CMS. They will have direct responsibility for creating, updating, and maintaining information in asset and content management systems. They will work with a variety of project teams, both internal and third party, deliver best in class experiences that deepen cardmember engagement and highlight both product and partnership value propositions. The Digital Content Producer will drive projects forward across all lifecycle phases from initiation through design, build and testing. They will understand broad needs of the business, scan the competitive landscape and leverage technology trends to increase target audience conversions

Key Accountabilities

  • Populate and deploy digital content within business CMS including product information, interface design using templates and components and SEO optimization
  • Working knowledge of a CMS based Digital Asset Manager (DAM). Responsibilities will include uploading and leveraging images, PDFs, text fragments and documents within page authoring
  • Create user manuals and training documentation in PDF and video formats
  • Align with business owners and technology teams to manage workflows and make appropriate changes
  • Ensure standard operating process and procedures are adhered to
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of digital marketing, user experience, accessibility requirements, HTML/CSS, QA testing and SEO
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • Interact directly with groups in marketing such as Acquisitions and Existing Customer Marketing, and other parts of the bank to organize website content and digital assets, share progress and identify/resolve issues
  • Assist in completing requested website additions and changes, ensuring proper process is followed
  • Work with vendors, suppliers and creative agencies, providing support and guidance in website development as pertaining to content

  • Demonstrate ability to make judgment calls relating to efficiency and prioritization of task completion
  • Maintain a solutions-oriented attitude in approaching challenges and setbacks

Person Specification

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 year college in marketing, business, computer science, or other related area
  • 3+ years work experience in UI/UX, designing, implementing, and managing website/mobile apps
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing a content management system

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing, preferably Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics/analytics
  • Passionate about new marketing technologies, trends in mobile, web, and other emerging technologies
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work across various teams within the organization and with various personalities
  • Curious, enthusiastic, hardworking and eager to make a difference
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbally
  • Competent understanding of Microsoft Office and general proficiency with project management software
  • High levels of organization and time management
  • Action orientated - ability to follow up on feedback to ensure desired outcomes
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure and effectively communicate to team members with positivity
