Procedures Analyst - *Strong writing/drafting skills preferred*

SUMMARY: Uses technical writing skills and knowledge of banking operations and compliance to actively participate with internal departments and branches in the creation of new procedures and analysis of existing policies and procedures. Manages the process of developing and updating procedures to one centralized location utilizing a policy management system. Publishes all updates based on a pre-determined schedule and on an as needed basis as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

* Develops, edits, and updates all assigned procedures, processes, and resources ensuring accuracy, consistency and clarity.

* Examines every process and procedure for efficiencies and to affect the streamlining of all retail branches internal operations.

* Prioritizes Procedural Updates and Advisories and communicates updates and timelines to manager and requestor.

* Produces Quick Reference Guides and job aids to clarify and increase branch employees understanding of processes and procedures.

* Supports Retail Branch interests by determining customer impact before finalizing any process or procedure modification.

* When appropriate, surveys bank competitors to determine if new processes or changes to existing procedures will adversely affect BankUnited competitive edge in the market place.

* Proactively identifies the need for updates to existing procedures based on knowledge or communications that erroneous data exists in current procedure.

* Gathers and analyzes information to write procedures for new bank initiatives and acts as liaison between Risk & Quality Management and the lines of business when developing, implementing, or updating procedures.

* Member or facilitator of various committees to include: Procedure Approval Committee, Training Advisory Task Force, Security Alerts and Update Meetings.

* Works with BSA/AML, Audit, and Compliance to write and/or publish procedures for regulatory issues.

* Creates and maintains all procedures, processes, guides, forms, spreadsheets, logs, reference tools, etc. electronically for web based procedures management tool.

* Maintain requisite knowledge of the systems and applications essential for procedure management.

* Assigned as a Content Administrator. Responsible for performing routine backups of the housed procedures.

* Determine whether new procedures or processes will require additional training needs for employees.

* Develop training tools and guides for ROM/ROO team to utilize during quarterly meetings.

* Maintains an understanding of all current financial products, policies, procedures and regulations.

* Serves as back up to Sr. Procedures Analyst during brief and/or extended periods of time in their absence.

* Attends seminars and training sessions as assigned.

* Performs additional duties as assigned by Sr. Procedures Analyst Risk & Advisory Services Manager or Risk & Quality Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree or equivalent and two years related technical writing experience plus 4 or more years experience in a Retail bank branch, Operations/Compliance banking environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
