Manufacturing Engineer

Key Role:

Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control. Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and product development based on quality acceptance criteria, cost, efficiency, and speed. Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, labor, materials, production costs, and other data. Analyze and optimize equipment placement, machine operations, production lines, and space requirements. Train staff in new and existing processes and equipment. Design, install, or upgrade systems, technology, or equipment used in the manufacturing process. Collaborate with a variety of internal and external, technical and non-technical stakeholders at multiple levels.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with working as a manufacturing engineer in a fabrication environment
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, assembly, and jig/tool design
• Knowledge of industry standard health and safety standards and environmental regulations
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and quality assurance/quality control techniques
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in working within DoD environment, automotive, aerospace, or custom electronics
• Ability to lead a team of technicians, including machinists, engineers and other technical professionals
• Ability to manage projects
