The Global Total Rewards Team is responsible for designing, implementing and administering competitive pay, stock and benefit programs that attract, reward and retain employees. Our Global Total Rewards team is seeking an individual with excellent analytical skills to join their team. What are the ongoing responsibilities of an HR Business Intelligence Analyst?

Our HR Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, quality assurance, implementation and support of internal enterprise reports, dashboards, and data stores. Main responsibilities will be to work with the business to transform the way that they access the information that they require to do their job(s). This is done via collecting and analyzing data and input from multiple external and internal sources, organizing same into actionable information, and designing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions for both loading and sharing the information in the Data Hub. The ideal candidate will:

  • Analyze data and reporting business requirements, explore and evaluate various options, and develop and design robust and scalable BI and Analytics solutions to meet the decision-making needs

  • Develop and provide routine and non-routine reports of complex scope using multiple reporting systems, and provide visualizations and approaches that will best utilize available data to answer questions

  • Perform complex data processing (e.g. merging, sorting, data transformations) using Alteryx, Access, or other ETL tools

  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex data cleansing, data integration, and data warehouse system issues, including identifying the reasons for problems, failures and malfunctions and developing optimal solutions

  • Analyze data from multiple sources across functions in order to provide a more holistic view of the employee and provide actionable insights

  • Take a lead role in and drive variable, department or Client Group projects and initiatives. Projects require research and analytical skills that may involve compensation or overall department programs and practices. Will include showing impact on employee groups and their pay/rewards, producing data, creating tools and forecasting different scenarios. Report dependencies, conflicts, and completion date status to project management team(s).

What qualifications would help someone to be successful?
  • 5-8 years’ experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics, Computer Science, and/or Databases

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Financial Services experience preferred

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with various levels and functional groups

  • Strong prioritization skills#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL

What technical skills are required?

  • Experience with Workday reporting

  • Strong use of databases/technology skills

  • Strong knowledge of databases, BI and ETL tools like MS SQL Server, Alteryx, and Tableau

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access

  • Development and production of routine and non-routine reports and analyses of intermediate to complex scope
