What is the Global Sales Support Associate (Client Service Associate) responsible for?

The primary responsibilities of this position are to drive the execution of client requests from FT's Global Financial Institutions Group. This is a global role requiring interaction with internal leaders and clients around the world, helping to grow and evolve this newly-formed IAS Retail Channel group.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Global Sales Support Associate (Client Service Associate)?

Client Service

  • Respond to internal enquires, on funds and products, ensuring all interaction with our Global Financial Institutions and Key Accounts is handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Organize conference calls with portfolio and/or product management, client meetings, client webinars, due diligence events and conferences for clients. Assist Portfolio Managers and Sales coordinate client review meetings working with the Events team.
Reporting and Product Placement
  • Ensure department meets or exceeds all defined client reporting deadlines. Develop processes to enhance reporting function within department (quantitative & qualitative). Help build out framework of necessary reports for IAS Retail Channel team.
  • Work closely with the internal portfolio construction team, to compare and contrast our investment strategies against competitive strategies and help to identify where FT has an advantage, leading to product positioning on discretionary platforms.
  • Assist GFIG team by observing the key themes outlined in FT research reports and white papers, and aligning these themes with product opportunities we have at GFIs and Key Accounts.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent job experience
  • 5 years+ financial services experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, business analysis
  • Strong conceptual skills and communication skills, ability to work on complex projects in a matrixed environment
  • Experience in client-focused work within financial industry
