The primary duty of the Automated Customer Account Transfer (ACAT) Specialist is to review and process transfer related requests including but not limited to ACAT, Non-ACAT, and Direct Mutual Fund transfers. This individual is responsible for delivering a high level of support in a high risk environment which is also fast-paced with frequently changing priorities.


  • Review, process, validate, and track incoming and outgoing ACATS, which includes, fails, reversal, purges
  • Analyze current procedures and offer improvement suggestions to increase workflow accuracy and efficiency
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Work with Sales and Client Services to best service client’s transferring accounts to and from TradeStation Securities
  • Communicate with Contra brokers, Banks and Mutual Companies to expedite outstanding account transfer requests
  • Assist Sales, Client Service, field support staff and clients with questions regarding submission of transfer request
  • Maintain detailed records and retention of all ACATS activities
  • Monitor the transferring of cost basis and update client accounts; work on internal and external client transfers


  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Critical thinking and problem resolution in all areas of transfer activity
  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills


  • College degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in self-clearing brokerage operations, preferably processing ACAT transfer receives and delivers
  • Familiar with industry standard systems such as DTC, NSCC, and Fund/SERV
  • Knowledge of SunGard Phase 3 back office also a plus
  • Ideal candidate will possess FINRA licenses 7 and 99
