The role, in a nutshell:

As Cboes high impact Compensation Analyst you will be an integral part of the total rewards team, providing world class service to our internal clients, effectively managing projects and executing ongoing programs. You will be a critical force in creating our compensation infrastructure and total rewards strategy enabling the attraction and retention of top talent. You will be a significant owner of the ongoing market analysis and benchmarking process by evaluating our remuneration packages. You will own the process of analyzing employees qualifications and responsibilities, along with a comparative analysis by region and industry, and by doing an internal comparison with positions of similar scope and responsibilities. Across the associate life cycle, compensation plays an important role and you will provide insight and guidance on total rewards for new hires and promotions while keeping an eye on market practices to ensure Cboe is an Employer of Choice.

You have outstanding business acumen and love the analytics associated with compensation. You are a self-starter who excels in project management and can be trusted to drive a large scope project across the finish line. No stranger to working in a fast-paced environment, you convey a sense of urgency and manage multiple competing priorities with ease and an adherence to deadlines. You can flex your expertise and adapt quickly in a changing environment with minimal oversight.

This role might be for you if you enjoy the following

  • Administer and assist with development and implementation of compensation programs and/or segments of programs in support of Total Rewards objectives
  • Analyze, interpret, and review wide range of relevant compensation data to ensure company's rewards and recognition programs and policies are competitive
  • Analyze positions and participate in market surveys and custom benchmarking studies
  • Market prices jobs, conducts job evaluations and analyzes results
  • Maintain and recommend enhancements to compensation architecture and pay structures
  • Participate in the development of best practices around severance, annual compensation planning and incentive compensation management
  • Ensure company compliance with relevant laws and regulation
  • Assist with the development and implementation of compensation program communications and educational materials
  • Examine compensation trends and develop recommendations supporting business initiatives to steer company in positive direction

Your career journey looks like this

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, Finance, Statistics or similar field of study; CCP or similar certification highly preferred
  • 3+ years of analyst experience as a compensation analyst; experience in a publicly traded company is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize compensation survey data, submit company compensation data to surveys, analyze complex job descriptions and appropriately match with benchmark data
  • Must possess strong analytical, quantitative and research skills; intellectually curious
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and with HR systems (workday preferred but not required); Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, formula auditing, conditional formatting, etc.)
  • Advanced reporting and database skills, including creating reports, updating data, running queries, etc.
  • Data savvy ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Excellent communication skills including speaking, writing and presenting; translate the complex into easy to understand terms
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task effectively and independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work, work independently, and make sound and defensible decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers
