AIR Asset Management is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to assist us with continuing to provide our investors with world-class service. In this new position you will manage the investor offering process, conduct the investor subscription process, provide first level support to existing investors, and more.

AIR Asset Management (“AIRAM”) is a rapidly growing hedge fund management firm based in downtown Chicago.  As an SEC-Registered Investment Advisor, AIRAM provides qualified investors with unique growth opportunities in longevity-linked investments such as life settlements and annuities. Our objective as a firm is to offer attractive risk-adjusted returns that are largely uncorrelated to traditional asset classes and equity markets. AIRAM is also a strong believer in socially responsible investment strategies, and we promote these efforts through our voluntary membership in the Principles for Responsible Investment. 

Strong investor interest in uncorrelated asset classes and AIRAM’s specific market expertise has resulted in rapid growth for the firm.  We launched three new funds in 2019, and another three are launching in Q1 of 2020.  As a result, we need to grow our team in order to continue providing world-class service to our investors.   That’s where you come in…

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the investor offering process
    • Deliver fund offering documentation to prospective investors
    • Track investor due diligence and coordinate responses using appropriate firm resources
  • Conduct the investor subscription process
    • Track the submission of subscription documentation and review for completeness and compliance with AIRAM and fund requirements
    • Prioritize and communicate next steps for investors and internal partners to get documentation and investment funds in “Good Order” 
  • Provide the first level of support to existing AIRAM investors
    • Resolve any account reporting inquiries, access issues, or requests for updates to contact information
    • Lead the distribution of newsletters and other communication to the investor base 
  • Coordinate and proof sales support materials used with prospective investors
  • Provide required support to third-party marketing and service partners

What You Should Bring

  • A broad understanding of financial markets and passion for investments
    • Knowledge of investment products, services, and terminology typically obtained through on the job training or prior experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to create plans, coordinate activities, and take activities to completion
  • The ability to multi-task, while effectively prioritizing based on urgency and importance
  • An instinct for accuracy, precision, and details with an inclination to document things along the way. The tendency to organize information in a consistent and logical way will also be key. 
  • A minimum of 1 year of client service experience in the financial services realm 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (imperative), with particular importance on Excel 
  • An undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics or similar
