Job Description:

The Senior International Trader is responsible for executing purchases and sales of global securities and or currency as authorized by Portfolio Managers and/or the Portfolio Implementation Team. They will be part of a 3 person trading team - rotating between Asian, European and US live trading hours from Chicago.

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior International Trader is responsible for executing purchases and sales of equity securities and/or currency transactions. Working closely with Investment team with regards to single stock, broader market-related insight and information.
  • Working hours for this position will rotate among the team between 6pm - 2am (Asia) and 2am - 9am (Europe) local time based on international market coverage.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Economics, or other investment-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years work experience in investment management, management consulting, corporate finance, private equity or strategy/planning experience within an operating company.
  • Eligibility to work in U.S. without company sponsorship.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Perform, Excel and Bloomberg etc.
  • Comfortable interacting with and taking direction from senior investment professionals.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and good time management skills.
  • Good understanding of electronic trading portals.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with global equities, preferably trading for a buy-side firm and working live overnight market hours.
