Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing Decision Management support to Citi Retail Services (CRS) Portfolios in Digital analytics. The position will work with the Digital Analytics and Next Gen Group Manager to support the Digital channel and other CRS portfolio initiatives including modeling, strategic analytics and program execution to target the right customers through an Omni-channel strategy.

This person will perform analyses at customer and marketing campaign level, as well as conduct strategic analyses to explore growth opportunities. This individual will also create audiences and segments and execute online (including 3 rd party) campaigns using data collected from internal and external sources, including the Data Management Platform (DMP). This will involve collaborating with other Decision Management functions, Digital Marketing, Partner Management, Data Governance, Database Management and Customer Data Intelligence.

Large part of this role will also focus on initiating and working in the Big Data Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP), and will involve interacting with internal technology, data, and analytic teams.

The role will focus on multiple partners (Sears, THD, BBY, Macys, and LL Bean) across multiple channels (in-store, direct mail, email and digital). 

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with other business partners in CRS and execute the online marketing programs in Account Online and Display partners
  • Generate insights from cardholder engagement with account online, interpret Digital analytic findings and formulate/improve Digital Marketing strategies
  • Build machine learning response models in Big Data environment for email, direct mail and digital channels
  • Build segmentation leveraging internal and external data (Citi, Retailer, 3 rd party and Blue-Kai data)
  • Work with the technology team closely to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and implement enhancements.
  • Work with Risk, Finance and other business reporting teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting while minimizing redundancy


  • 2+ years of experience in analytics is required. Credit card experience is preferred.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is required ( i.e. , Statistics, Mathematics, and Economics).
  • Experience and knowledge of Digital Marketing platforms and tools, including DMP, Site Catalyst, SEO, SEM, Paid Search, and other 3 rd party marketing channels.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Big Data tools, such as Spark, Hadoop, Python, R, Hive, etc .
  • Proficient SAS/SQL programming skills and advanced spreadsheet skills. Knowledge and experience of segmentation, statistical procedures, financial modeling and analytic tools (Revolution R, SAS, etc. ) are required.
  • Strong analytic ability and problem solving skills to proactively address business questions with innovative data driven solutions.
  • A self-starter and highly motivated to excel with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, flexible and adaptive to matrix work environment.
