State Street is seeking an Assistant Vice President-level Business Analyst in the Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) group, supporting several critical workstreams: liquidity, capital, recovery Planning, and receivership planning. The role combines (1) oversight and coordination of liquidity and capital analyses, frameworks, and capabilities to support the firm's ability to achieve a recovery or orderly resolution under severe stress and (2) coordination and development of the firm's Recovery and Bank Receivership Plans, including overall strategy, core financial analyses, plan writing, and facilitating plan execution. The role provides a good blend of financial analysis, development of presentations, formal report writing and general project management including stakeholder engagement.
The RRP group provides organizational leadership for the development of Recovery and Resolution Plans that fundamentally strengthen State Street's capacity to respond effectively in extreme and catastrophic stress scenarios. The Recovery and Resolution Plans are developed to align with requirements established by the Dodd-Frank Act and overseen by the Federal Reserve and FDIC. State Street conducts these efforts in the context of heightened regulatory expectations and under direct oversight from executive management. RRP efforts are conducted cross-functionally, with strong engagement from senior management, functional leaders, and subject matter experts across the organization.
This individual will have 5+ years relevant experience in treasury, risk, or related functions, ideally in a large financial services organization and/or relevant consulting or regulatory settings. To thrive in this role, this individual will possess strong analytical skills, a proven capacity for adapting quickly to new challenges, and effective written and verbal communication skills. In addition, this individual will possess demonstrated leadership capabilities, a pro-active approach, a capacity for strategic thinking, and ability to deliver high-quality work both independently and in project team settings.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop financial analyses estimating global capital and liquidity impacts across the firm's balance sheet and business activities under a range of stress scenarios, including review and challenge of key subject matter experts analysis.
• Evaluate and support development of strategic actions the firm may take to recover from stress or achieve orderly resolution, including through business and asset sales and global transfers of capital and liquidity
• Perform varied research and analytical tasks encompassing financial, operational, business, and legal considerations, supporting methodology development across the firm's multi-disciplinary Recovery and Bank Receivership Plans
• Draft technical, high-visibility content for regulatory submissions and presentations to executive management, the board of directors, and regulators; communications will identify and explain critical issues, analyses and methodologies, providing clear and effective arguments
• Actively collaborate with a small project team and across functions throughout the firm to develop and execute solutions
• Facilitate design and execution of project plans and governance reporting

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
• Experience should include the following:
o 5+ years working in large financial services organizations and/or relevant consulting or regulatory settings
o Experience in a key contributing role related to treasury, risk, or other related functions in a large financial services organization and/or relevant consulting or regulatory settings
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable delivering presentations and engaging in open, collaborative dialogue in team and cross-functional settings
• Ability to write in a concise, persuasive and professional manner
• Versatile analytical skill set, with the confidence and ability to confront a new problem, consider alternatives, and structure an effective analytical approach
• Inquisitive nature and an effective learner; ability to quickly grasp relevant new concepts in a fast-paced environment
• Careful attention to detail, with focus on accuracy and understanding concepts
• Experience working in project-based settings preferable, but also maintaining a capability to work independently without daily oversight and being fully committed to carrying out responsibilities to a high standard
• Strong capabilities in MS Excel and PowerPoint required
