Corporate Finance Technology Leader, Managing Director
Who we are looking for

The Corporate Technology Leader Finance, Managing Director is a senior-level role for State Streets Corporate Systems platforms and partners. This hands-on role will partner with senior-level development managers, architects and business leadership to develop and execute the technology product roadmap. The MD, Corporate Finance, reports to the Corporate Systems CIO and will have Vice President / Assistant Vice President level direct reports based in Boston, India, China and other global locations. This role will work closely with senior leadership and peers across the Business Unit CIO organization, Global Technology Services (GTS) and the Corporate Finance functional domain.

What you will be responsible for
As the Managing Director you will
  • Lead client requirements gathering and market research to develop industry leading technology roadmaps with an aligned multi-year investment portfolio
  • Coordinate client advisory meetings and development partnerships
  • Collaborate with other product managers and development leadership as well as the executive team to prioritize product initiatives
  • Develop the technology product roadmap which supports the business strategy
  • Communicate the technology product roadmap to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage product management staff for the technology infrastructure teams
  • As the Product Owner, drive the Agile process and create a culture of continuous improvement of processes and methodologies
  • Manage key initiatives to ensure achievement of critical milestones and results
  • Provide expert guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during design reviews and product demos with an eye towards simplicity of design and function
  • Keep abreast of existing and emerging technologies impactful to our business
  • Provide occasional sales support for prospective clients
  • Act as an escalation point for client services
  • Speak at public events and author industry articles as appropriate

What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
  • Knowledge of corporate finance including but not limited to Accounting and Billing operations, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury (technology, financial instruments, workflows, etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements specific to the Financial Services industry
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently
  • Ability to develop recommendations, form judgments and make decisions based on existing available data
  • Executive communication (verbal and written) skills and an ability to communicate complex technical information in simpler terms
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidance
  • Proven ability to develop and manage cross functional processes and project timelines
  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and time management skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Math
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Technical product management experience preferred
  • A bias toward architecture evolution that continually adds business value
  • Experience delivering software solutions that support and transform business operations
