This position blends financial analysis, reporting, business systems analyst skills to support solutions for Finance & Administration and management reporting for the firm. The role will deliver support to a broad range of constituents across Finance, and will include significant project work. A demonstrated ability to learn processes and translate that knowledge to IT teams is key for this role. In addition, creative problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task are skills that will be heavily utilized in this role. The candidate will need to demonstrate expertise in managing data in relational databases and the application of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Partner with IT in the implementation and support of Finance-related technology projects and initiatives

  • Independently manage targeted projects from initiation through execution and delivery

  • Assist in the design and implementation of new data repositories and reporting tools; create/enhance documentation

  • Develop or enhance existing tools  (e.g. Microsoft Office tools/VBA, Tableau, Workday, SharePoint, proprietary applications, and SaaS solutions) to optimize business processes and reporting; recommend modifications to established practices and procedures

  • Work collaboratively with business process owners and IT to identify and           prioritize system and process improvements


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of work experience in a systems related role supporting a Finance organization. Experience within a financial services organization a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to: i) rapidly master new activities and technologies coupled with a strong attention to detail, ii) learn new technology/applications, and iii) solve problems in a creative manner;

  • Strong financial application/technology skills - SQL, Access, MySQL/Oracle, Excel, Workday, Tableau, and SharePoint; VBA and project management software a plus

  • Strong project management, documentation, and delivery skills
