Job Description
Who we are looking for
The Implementation Product Owner is a delivery leader with the Chief Operations Office (COO) strategic implementation team in State Street Global Markets. The candidate is someone with a proven record of technology project execution and ability to get hands on when it comes to analysis, design and execution, someone with creativity and self-motivation to deliver on mission critical projects. The ideal candidate will have project/ delivery experience in the reconciliation domain.

When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to SSGM business unit. As our onboarding and operations service partner, the COO has embarked on a transformational effort to add low-code automation tools to drive optimization of our processes and service levels.

What you will be responsible for
As Implementation Product Owner you will
  • Establish and communicate global vision for the product
  • Maximize value of the product resulting from work of the development team
  • Develop two-year roadmap of global implementation across COO and expand to other areas of SSGM
  • Maintain and/or develop domain and business knowledge to be a decision maker in determining and prioritizing implementation pipeline, business requirements and backlog
  • Lead use case and design discussions with a diverse set of State Street business, internal IT and vendor stakeholders to then prioritize based on impact analysis
  • Drive solution design of highly available distributed systems by leveraging your experience in low-code programming and design
  • Communicate with all parties involved including senior management, developers, architects, and end users, who may be based in different locations and time zones
  • Ensure development team has transparency and understanding of all work items
  • Monitor delivery progress and provide periodic updates to Senior Management
  • Maintain effective oversight framework to ensure that issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved

What we value

  • 5-10 years' experience in IT developing data processing solutions and proven project leadership
  • Experience in financial industry working with reconciliations, foreign exchange, securities lending
  • Ability to make effective decisions and manage change
  • Provide leadership and co-ordinate work effort with other teams
  • Experience with designing & architecting services, systems & data platforms
  • Work closely with the business & IT stake holders to manage delivery
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to receive and analyze requirements
  • Excellent communications, organization, and interpersonal planning skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
