Responsibilities: Deliver business and intangible valuations for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganization, and corporate services. Participate in the design of the scope of work for tax engagements, quality control and accuracy of client deliverables, and associated risks. Review third-party appraisals for audit support purposes. Develop specific valuation models relevant to IRC Sec. 409A and Accounting Standards Codifications (ASC) 718 guidance, including Option Pricing Model (OPM), Probability-Weighted Expected Return Model (PWERM), current value model, and the hybrid model. Quantify, analyze, and render conclusions consistent with prevailing accounting, tax, and regulatory codes for transaction, financing, litigation, bankruptcy, reorganization, strategic planning, and compliance purposes. Conduct valuation of business entities and intangible assets, purchase price allocations, financial analysis, and research.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00am – 5:00pm)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation. Employer will accept a master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Two years of experience must include: Intangible asset valuations under FASB ASC 805; FASB ASC 718 and RC 409A guidance or stock valuation; Goodwill impairment analysis under FASB ASC 350; long-lived assets impairment analysis under FASB ASC 360; performing valuation of business or legal entities for tax planning purposes; performing research and valuation analysis using Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomason Reuters, IBISWorld, and EIU; and applying Bloomberg and Capital IQ.
