Pricing and Business Analyst Lead

The Business Process and Efficiency Business Analyst is responsible for administering the MFN and Pricing process for AMNA end to end. In addition to this essential role the BA will also collaborate with the team on several key functions such as liaising with BNYM Finance, Project Support for BPE initiatives and cross functional back up on the team.


The incumbent will be the main point of contact and responsible for administering the MFN/Pricing process, Fee Schedule data and account comparability analysis at AMNA. Including, but not limited to: Accurately sourcing and maintaining 'golden copy' Fee Schedule & MFN data for AMNA business in its entirety and presenting this data in an acceptable format for senior management and the Pricing Approval Team. Monitoring AMNA MFN clauses versus the applicable AUM and Revenue data on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with the terms. Performing MFN analysis against this data and determining any potential MFN issues as new pricing bids are presented to the AMNA Pricing Approval Team. Tracking all non-standard Pricing Requests from proposal/approval state to accepted state if an IMA is issued. Tracking all proposed MFN language from proposal/approval state to accepted state if an IMA is issued. Documenting all MFN analysis, all MFN issues/resolutions, as well as maintaining the AMNA Pricing/ MFN policy. Leading quarterly review meetings for the AMNA Pricing/MFN team to vet any potential MFN issues as well as changes to or additions of new contract language to the MFN data set.

The above responsibilities require close interaction with the AMNA Compliance Team, BPE AUM process, BNYM Finance team, BNYM Billing Unit and the BNYM Analytical Management team to ensure data accuracy across the Fee Schedule, MFN/Pricing data set.

The incumbent will also be responsible for analyzing the Fee Schedule/MFN data set to determine comparable accounts across AMNA, this data is utilized in client questionnaires, RFI, DDQs, 15Cs etc. Fee Schedule inquiries from clients and consultants, as well as Fee Schedule confirmations are also handled in this role.
NON MFN/Pricing

The Business Process and Efficiency Team is responsible for several functions across AMNA. The sourcing, analysis and publishing of firm wide AUM is a core function that the Business Analyst will provide back up for in the absence of the Analyst assigned to AUM.

The qualified candidate will also possess the skills required to assess Process and Efficiency requirements for projects the team works on as capacity allows, performing project scoping, gathering business requirements, participating in development work, UAT testing and assisting with rolling out solutions.



The Business Analyst must be able to work independently and under time constraints, monitoring and analyzing the data to make accurate and definitive decisions on MFN requirements and compliance. 2-3 plus years' experience in the financial service industry, a Bachelor's Degree, and experience with large and complex financial data sets, problem solving and attention to detail are essential. S/he must be deadline oriented, able to multi-task, interact with and present to senior management. Ability to present complex data in a concise and meaningful manner. The qualified candidate must be very organized and have a deep working knowledge of Excel and data analytic tools available.
