Regulatory, Industry and Government Affairs (RIGA), Public Policy Analyst, AVP
The Regulatory, Industry and Government Affairs (RIGA) division is responsible for monitoring policy, legislative and regulatory developments globally, and for engaging regulators and policymakers on these issues. The Public Policy Analyst researches global legislative, regulatory and policy issues; supports internal communication and reporting infrastructure; and acts as liaison with overseas RIGA staff.Work in conjunction with individuals on the team as well as with legal, compliance, risk management, finance and business lines globally to determine applicability, impact and relevance of issues as well as developing a strategy to engage policymakers and/or industry groups if needed;
  • Research and analyze global legislative, regulatory and policy issues;
  • Develop external relationships with key policymakers and staff
  • Support State Street engagements on legislative and regulatory policy initiatives, including executive visits and related logistics, including the preparation of briefing documents and other materials
  • Support State Street participation on legislative and regulatory committees of jurisdictional trade associations
  • Develop and update periodic and ad hoc reports regarding STT's ongoing regulatory interactions;
  • Administer and support internal RIGA communication and reporting tools and processes;
  • Provide support and liaison services to overseas RIGA staff;
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Business or related field;
  • Graduate Degree preferred;
  • 3- 5 years prior experience in Government, government-relations, research, legal, economics or financial industry;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong research ability and familiarity with relevant data tools / sources;
  • General familiarity with current legal and regulatory issues;
  • PC proficient, including Microsoft Office;
  • Team player;
  • Attention to detail.
