At MFS, the Rotational Development Program (RDP) is designed to provide hardworking and highly motivated new graduates from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to gain exposure to and become fully immersed in the investment management industry. We are looking to attract, develop, and retain future leaders across the organization.
The Rotational Development Program (RDP) Associate will rotate through a sequence of four, six-month rotations across four different functional areas of the organization, including Distribution (Retail and Institutional), Investment Operations and Investment Management: Distribution
Global Distribution is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of all MFS products through various channels, including global institutional, global retail, defined contribution and more. Investment Operations
Global Investment and Client Support (GIS) is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to the investment team, distribution teams and our clients. GIS creates a culture of excellence that features an operational risk-mitigation mindset rooted in employee education and development. Investment Management
Investment Management is responsible for the management of all equity and fixed-income securities held in MFS portfolios. This division is also responsible for the execution of all equity and fixed-income transactions.
In addition to on-the-job experience, RDP Associates will receive structured mentorship, tailored professional development seminars, networking opportunities, and formalized training. Upon successful completion of the program, the RDP Associate will have the opportunity to be placed in a permanent position at MFS based on your interests and business needs.
MFS anticipates that this program will begin in June of the graduating year. The RDP Associates will work from our Boston, Massachusetts office, with provisions made to adapt to a wholly virtual environment should circumstances require. Eligibility
Required Application Materials
- Must be a graduating senior from an undergraduate program to be eligible for the next RDP class
- Demonstrated leadership skills as member of a club, team, volunteer group, part-time job or other extra-curricular activities
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion and/or have overcome obstacles, challenges or other factors (financial or otherwise) in pursuit of obtaining an undergraduate degree
- Brief statement outlining your qualifications for the program, especially in regard to the last two eligibility requirements
- Applicants selected as final round candidates may be asked to provide a letter of recommendation from a professor, coach, manager or mentor.
