Basic Purpose:

The Senior Procurement Associate Contractor will support all procurement efforts at Eaton Vance contract negotiation, purchase execution and associated tasks. The candidate will have broad procurement experience and will manage efforts across multiple indirect commodity categories including information technology, professional services, and marketing. The candidate will lead small to medium size procurement efforts, including partnering with business, finance and legal stakeholders, leading negotiations, drafting contracts and proposals and presenting outcomes to key stakeholders. The candidate will use the SAP Ariba platform for end-to-end process management. Most importantly, the candidate will foster productive and strategic supplier and business client relationships, maintain our firms positive and long-standing reputation and ensure that the firms procurement operations lines up with the dynamics of the investment management industry at large.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide procurement expertise to business clients
  • Manage the end to end execution of small to medium size procurement projects
  • Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Lead contract review, red-line and negotiation process
  • Participate in business case development and financial analysis
  • Liaise with business partners, IT, finance and legal to assess business and corporate requirements to ensure risk is appropriately managed and addressed in contracts
  • Negotiation of deals across a number of commodities and spend categories
  • Support Eaton Vances core values of integrity, professionalism, teamwork, client focus, adaptability and creativity, and excellence

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Must have minimum 2 years experience sourcing Information Technology
  • 5+ years experience in an indirect sourcing; Investment Management or Financial Services Experience preferred
  • Procurement- and industry-based certifications a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
  • SAP Ariba experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and listening skills; Ability to work cross-functionally; Comfort and experience discussing with and presenting to business partners
  • Knowledge and experience with vendor and enterprise risk management
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills
  • Understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk
  • Strong desktop technology skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work independently
