The Expertise We're Looking For

  • 10-15 years of corporate tax experience in Big 4 public accounting or combination of public accounting and in-house corporate tax experience with significant tax accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business; Masters in Taxation and/or CPA preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP with an emphasis on ASC 740 and FIN48 and all aspects of tax provision processes and financial statement reporting
  • Experience managing all aspect of a corporate tax provision and reporting function
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a high performing team.
  • Highly collaborative tax professional with experience working across all tax and accounting functions with track record of increasing responsibility .

The Purpose of Your Role

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this position is a key leadership position with significant growth opportunity. This position will be responsible for oversight of all facets of tax accounting under ASC 740 and related aspects of the company's quarterly and year-end tax accounting and tax provision in accordance U.S. GAAP, including the effective tax rate calculations and will play an integral role in driving the internal work flows and processes which are critical to our tax accounting & provision and financial reporting function. This position will manage a team of highly skilled tax accounting professionals responsible for work and also work closely across the tax teams and other key support functions to insure accurate financial statement reporting for income taxes

This is a highly visible role that interfaces with the leadership of various tax teams, and business units.

The Skills You Bring
  • Your US GAAP tax accounting expertise with an emphasis on ASC 740 and FIN48
  • Your proven ability to design reporting and compliance processes that are consistent with ASC740 guidelines and to interpret and identify the implications of these guidelines on business scenarios.
  • Your expertise in the federal and multi-state corporate taxation arena.
  • Your demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a high performing tax team.
  • Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the highest levels of management.
  • Excellent research and writing skills must be able to communicate complicated tax issues in a clear, concise, and reasonable manner to the highest levels of management.

The Value You Deliver
  • Oversight of all aspects of quarterly and year-end tax accounting and tax provision processes.
  • Overseeing all required financial statement reporting related to income taxes
  • Monitoring of all emerging issues in U.S. GAAP accounting standards as well as proposed changes in tax laws and quantification of financial statement impacts
  • Management of high performing tax accounting team
  • Key liaison to finance organization to increase understanding of the businesses and keep current with transactions and accounting pronouncements to identify tax impact to the company
  • Managing year- end tax provision process.
  • Overseeing tax internal control environment and documentation of various processes connected to the tax provision process.
  • Researching federal and state tax issues
  • Training, development and mentoring of tax team members.
  • Astute relationship management and collaboration across tax teams and other cross functional groups
