SVB Startup Banking Portfolio Management Vice President
SVB Startup Banking is focused on building deep and authentic relationships with early stage founders, investors, and ecosystem partners to improve their probability of success. Our team is curious, bright, and diverse in professional and personal background made up of former operators at early and growth stage startups, VCs, consultants, attorneys, and everywhere in between.
The Vice President Portfolio Management role is responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of pre-Series A stage clients.
Build & develop strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Educate prospective clients around SVB platform and own client experience.
Operate client portfolio as a franchise by tracking and analyzing key metrics. Manage expenses related to operations and ROI.
Analyze and manage internal and external data sources to identify top clients and prospects, potential cross-sell opportunities, predict fundraising needs, and extract industry trends.
Monitor and track portfolio health related to compliance and credit risk.
Ownership over increasing customer satisfaction (NPS) across portfolio.
Build programming, events, and content to meet in-market goals and support client base.
May include managerial responsibilities of junior team members.

5+years in the innovation and/or tech community.
Bachelorsdegree or equivalent related experience.
Candidateshould have a demonstrated interest in the innovation / tech community and desireto understand market dynamics, trends and investor relationships.
Strongrelationship management skills.
Abilityto prioritize tasks with effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
Ableto work in a team environment and comfortable working independently.
Analyticaland comfortable making data-informed decisions.
Knowledgeof banking products and operations, along with technology sector experience (EnterpriseSoftware, Fintech, Consumer, Hardware) is a bonus.
