Senior Business Analyst
Senior Business Analyst (multiple positions) (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Burlington, MA): The Senior Business Analyst (B.A.) will be responsible for synthesizing market requirements and working with the development team to deliver an effective solution to meet such requirements. The Senior B.A. will also work closely with internal stakeholders such as solution implementers, support personnel, and training/documentation teams-making sure their needs are part of the resulting solution delivery process. The Senior B.A. will interact with clients by gathering requirements, evaluating potential solutions, considering client specific concerns, and distilling this information into a solution design. The Senior B.A. is a pivotal role helping to drive product strategy, design, and development to meet market demand. The Senior B.A. will develop client relationships that will help drive the detailed requirements for this new offering. Working with the product development team, the B.A. will define and prioritize the requirements and validate the resulting work. Specifically, the team delivers an industry leading portfolio management module designed to support fund management workflows across the buy-side investment industry. Further, the module needs to consider workflow specifics unique to specific asset classes, and provide sufficient flexibility to support end user specificities. The Senior B.A. will need to have a sufficient understanding of portfolio management workflows, asset class uniqueness, and consideration as to how the product module fits into the overall solution set. Specific responsibilities include: work in a dynamic, fast-paced (agile) environment, apply expertise in specific product areas to deliver a high-quality product; gather requirements for the product by researching, documenting and prioritizing product requirements; interact with clients by presenting new features and gathering feedback; assist QA with feature validation; partner with the documentation team to ensure accurate and complete product documentation; provide client beta testing support; serve as internal advocate for the scrum team for cross-functional enhancement projects; assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues; work with the product manager in understanding the market needs; prioritize and maintain the product backlog and items committed to forward roadmap by PM; and assist in sales situations as required.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Sciences, Business or a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience.

Must have: proven solid experience in a similar role within Investment Management and Financial Services related organizations; demonstrated understanding of financial investment products across all asset classes and market types; demonstrated understanding of investment management workflows; proven ability to estimate and understand potential impacts across the organization to limit change risk; demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector; proven organizational skills with attention to detail; proven analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated planning and scheduling skills; and proven ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously and deal with surprises.
