Global Head of Infrastructure Operations
The Global Technology Services team is seeking to hire a Global Head of Infrastructure Operations Senior Vice President role that would report directly to the Chief Data Officer to create and drive a technology roadmap and delivery of innovative products and solutions consistent with the company's vision and growth objectives. This role will be responsible for leading a large global organization inclusive of our vendor partners in the following IT areas: Database Administration, Data Centers, End User Computing, Service Desk, Mainframe, Midrange, Middleware, Open Systems, Storage and Disaster Recovery testing. The leader will need to be able to understand business drivers, market requirements and competitive issues facing the organization while also understanding both legacy products and new technology to guide leadership on how to best modernize the technology at State Street. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level technology team and help drive delivery and success of legacy and new technology.

This key leader will be expected to enhance, develop, manage and implement key corporate IT/Technology Services to enable attainment of the strategic objectives of the corporation. They will also work closely with clients, client services, sector solutions, and business teams to ensure that solutions are effective and deliver a balanced solution against the clients and our overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Leads multiple teams including vendor partners in the following IT areas: Database Administration, Data Centers, End User Computing, Service Desk, Mainframe, Midrange, Middleware, Open Systems, Storage, Disaster Recovery testing
  • • Ensure the availability and resiliency of in-scope infrastructure platforms and services
  • • Maintain the portfolio of hardware and software products and lifecycle management to remain current with industry and vendor standards for supportability
  • • Proactively recommend innovative and modern technology solutions based on industry best practices (e.g. data center strategy) and proven success in implementing multiple large scale transformational initiatives
  • • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across IT and Business divisions to achieve consensus and common goals/objectives
  • • Champion and promote service improvements on an ongoing basis to continually improve quality and customer satisfaction with IT services
  • • Manage, identify and develop high caliber talent for mobility and growth
  • • Review service metrics (KPIs) that identify the success of the services being utilized to recommend and coordinate implementation of changes to ITSM services to improve metrics
  • • Provide oversight to outsourced service providers of agreed upon SLAs, agree appropriate actions to maintain and improve service levels while evolving their service program as needed for new services
  • • Clearly articulate industry insights and regular updates on service performance and achievement to IT executive leadership and the broader IT team on a frequent basis
  • • Work closely with the EMEA and APAC regions to ensure cohesive and comprehensive infrastructure services and availability from a global standpoint
  • • Proactively protect and strengthen IT assets against internal and external threats and work closely with regulatory and audit groups to ensure compliance

Candidate Requirements:
  • • Bachelor's degree required, Master Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • • 15+ years of experience in large global corporation preferably financial services industry
  • • Self-starter and willing to work with ambiguity
  • • Innovative problem solver and strategic thinker, along with strong business acumen and analytical capabilities
  • • Candidate must be a change agent and possess the business acumen to interface with senior business stakeholders, client interactions and the ability to offer creative solutions to meet all party requirements
  • • Strong Executive leadership skills; collaborative partner able to influence and drive accountability across the organization
