We are searching for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist- Content Strategist to join our team in Waltham. Currently, this role is remote, but will be in the office, in January.

The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist - Content Strategist supports the Health Division working across teams to understand business goals and user needs, helping plan, develop and deliver clear, relevant content that bring the two together.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Through content inventories, gap analyses and ongoing audits of web pages across the Division, this individual will be tasked with assigning value to content and determining what is working effectively online, where updates are needed, where new content is required and identifying under-performing areas in need of larger overhauls. Working alongside the Division’s Search Specialist, the Content Specialist will ensure alignment with target keywords to drive qualified organic and paid traffic. In addition, the Specialist will ensure content being posted aligns with journey maps and target personas.

As part of the Divisional support team, the Strategist will be responsible for content creation, where needed, while also coordinating with internal and external resources. They will also perform various quality assurance tasks, proofreading and editing select written pieces before publication.

The Strategist will also be asked to participate in editorial calendar planning across the Division, helping ensure a steady flow of relevant content while preventing overlap between products and services for target keywords.

The successful candidate must be a storyteller with an eye for detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Work across Health Business Units to evaluate current content, determine value and identify opportunities for optimization Direct content creation in web/digital platform and coordinate internal and external content resources Create content for Divisional initiatives where appropriate internal or external resources are not available Maintain and/or contribute to Divisional content inventory and editorial calendar Coordinate target keywords and topics across Division to minimize overlap between products Provide quality assurance (QA) for Divisional content before posting Participate in communication initiatives that extend beyond direct responsibilities. Be flexible, proactive and a creative team player.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or relevant equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a writing, editing, or content strategy role, preferably in a global organization.
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
  • Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools
  • Solid writing and editing skills in English
  • Organized self-starter, attention to detail and follow through
  • Team player; happiest when doing, not delegating

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry (such as the role of providers, payers, researchers or educators)
  • A portfolio of published articles

Travel requirements

  • Ability to travel as required by business needs. Not expected above 15% travel.
