Director - Audit Data Analytics
Develop the analytics strategy for Risk & Control Service (internal audit) and focus on expanding the use of analytics across risk assessment, planning and fieldwork audit processes. Work with other leaders to build and maintain an analytics function and information systems, data analytics, data analysis tools and techniques, operational audit processes and business processes to support a large financial services organization. This role requires both technical and leadership skills. Responsibilities
Develop and clearly communicate 3-5 year vision and the major steps/milestones needed to transform from current state to future state. Converts vision into clear strategy and tactical steps. Develops and implements measurable operational and tactical plans related to the implementation of data analytics in support of Risk & Control Service (RCS) goals and objectives.
Leads and develops high-performing data analytics team and helps build RCS wide analytic capabilities. Cultivate a culture of data literacy and curiosity. Develops data analytic standards, strategies, and procedures in support of audits and projects.
Consults with management to develop leading practices and synergies of data analytics tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Networks externally and understands industry-specific and relevant data analytics, business intelligence and quantitative analysis trends, techniques, and leading practices. Stays abreast of tech, business, and audit trends to identify risks and opportunities and routinely conveys trends and insights to RCS management.
Identifies patterns in data deriving appropriate conclusions, develops strong product deliverables, including reports and dashboards with business-relevant information.
Provides input on matters regarding data governance, "big data", data quality, Robotic Process Automation, machine learning and other relevant enterprise business topics. Challenges the organization's strategic approach in these areas through continuous monitoring activities. Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent
7-10 years of experience Preferred Qualifications
• Preferred Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems
• Masters degree
• CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE
•Experience developing and delivering data analytics and continuous auditing/continuous monitoring programs.
•Knowledge of data analytics in an audit environment is strongly preferred.
• Must have professional experience managing multiple priorities, effective team interactions, providing timely and constructive feedback, negotiating issues, and resolving problems.
• Experience in the use of data analytics tools including experience in the management and/or use of data analytics tools and platforms such as SAS, ACL, Tableau, Python, R, etc.
• Experience with robotic process and robotic desktop automation and tools such as Pega.
