Proterra Investment Partners (“Proterra”) is a global alternative investment manager focused on private equity investments in the natural resource sectors of agriculture, food and metals & mining. Proterra operates from a head office in Minneapolis (United States) and has field offices in São Paulo, London, Mumbai, Shanghai, Singapore, and Sydney. The North American Agribusiness Credit team is seeking an energetic Senior Credit Analyst to support the existing team with industry research, analysis and modeling.

• Assisting in structuring and executing transactions in private debt
• Construct and maintain detailed financial/operating models for existing and potential investments
• Compile and summarize relevant industry information
• Review, analyze and compile borrower information, financial statements and collateral
• Assist in the development of loan structures and terms
• Contribute to investment memoranda and investment committee presentations
• Assist in preparation and execution of investment documentation and loan closings
• Monitor compliance with credit agreements and track actual performance to budget
• Provide general support to team of Managing Directors
• Support the valuation and reporting process

• Undergraduate degree preferably in finance, economics or other quantitative field
• 7 years of credit analysis or investment banking experience
• Cash flow lending to middle market
• Experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, restructuring or commercial banking
• Strong financial analysis skills with extensive financial modeling experience in Excel
• High degree of personal integrity, self-motivation and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to take on a high level of responsibility
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-energy team environment

• CFA designation
• Knowledge of natural resources, food, agriculture or other agribusiness sectors
• Familiarity with junior debt alternatives and structures
